The Curriculum

Phase 1: Foundations of the Armband
WEEKS 1-3
Defining the role (it's not just tossing a coin). Understanding and embracing the responsibility of the culture "From then to now" connection.
Managing your own performance under pressure while others are watching.
How to talk to a coach, a teammate, and a referee (different tones for different zones).
Phase 2: Navigating the Storm
WEEKS 4-7
Handling the "cliques" in the locker room and teammate disputes.
Navigating the relationship between the players and the management/school administration.
Keeping the team focused when losing or facing a "hostile" crowd.
Managing peer and parental expectations and social media presence as a school leader.
Phase 3: Legacy & Transition

Decision-making on the field and tactical accountability.
Identifying and grooming the next captain.
